CHELOHSIN was a member of the UNION STEAMSHIP CO fleet of coastal freight/passenger vessels, built in Ireland in 1911. It initially serviced PRINCE RUPERT, but it was on the LOGGING camp run that it became one of the most familiar vessels on the coast during the inter-war period. It was 53.5 m long, had a gross weight of 1,021 tonnes and carried 191 passengers and 150 tons of freight.
