Cloverdale Rodeo & Exhibition


CLOVERDALE RODEO & EXHIBITION began as a fair on the SURREY Municipal Hall and Surrey Centre grounds in Sept 1888—without a RODEO. In 1938 the fair moved to CLOVERDALE and rodeo events began in 1945. The rodeo became a professional competition in 1948 but was postponed for 4 months that year because of FRASER R flooding; when it opened in September it attracted a record crowd of 7,000.
