Commonwealth Nature Legacy


COMMONWEALTH NATURE LEGACY is a network of parks, TRAILS and green spaces north and west of VICTORIA on southern VANCOUVER ISLAND. It was inaugurated in 1994 and named for the Commonwealth Games, hosted that year by Victoria. Its components include Gowlland Tod Provincial PARK (12.21 sq km), overlooking the bottom of SAANICH INLET, the 49-km JUAN DE FUCA MARINE TRAIL and several other preserves both rural and urban.
