CONNELL, Grant, tennis player (b 17 Nov 1965, Regina, SK). Raised in N VANCOUVER, he didn't begin playing TENNIS seriously until he was 15. After attending Texas A&M Univ where he was an all-American, he turned professional in 1985 and in a 12-year career developed into one of the most successful tennis players Canada has produced.
