Cougar


COUGAR (Felis concolor), the largest member of the cat family native to BC, is a speedy, solitary predator whose range extends across most of the province. Also called mountain lion, it has red-brown to grey-brown fur and a long tail. The average adult male weighs 57 kg, though weights up to 95 kg have been recorded.
