D'ARCY
()
, pop 60, is a farming (see AGRICULTURE) and Lil'wat (Lillooet) FIRST NATION community at the south end of ANDERSON LK, 110 km northeast of SQUAMISH. In the 1920s the Pacific Great Eastern Rwy (see BC RAIL) made a lunch stop here at D'Arcy Lodge, which was popular also with TOURISTS visiting the lake and nearby beach. It was named after D'Arcy Tate, vice-president of the PGE from 1912 to 1918.
