Davie, Alexander Edmund Batson

DAVIE, Alexander Edmund Batson, lawyer, politician, premier 1 Apr 1887–death (b 24 Nov 1847, Somerset, England; d 1 Aug 1889, Victoria). He immigrated to BC in 1862 and articled as a lawyer in VICTORIA. Called to the bar in 1873, he became the first lawyer to obtain his complete legal education on VANCOUVER ISLAND.
