DAVIE, Theodore, lawyer, premier 2 July 1892–2 Mar 1895 (b 22 Mar 1852, Brixton, England; d 7 Mar 1898, Victoria). He came to VICTORIA in 1867 to join his father and elder brother A.E.B. DAVIE. After studying law, he practised in the CASSIAR area and in NANAIMO. He then returned to Victoria, where he became a leading criminal lawyer.
