EHOLT () was a community near the summit of the COLUMBIA & WESTERN RWY line between GRAND FORKS and GREENWOOD in the BOUNDARY DISTRICT of southern BC. It was a divisional point where the railway also headed south 15 km to a COPPER mine at PHOENIX. When the pre-WWI MINING boom in the Boundary faded, residents moved away and Eholt became a ghost town. It is named for a rancher who lived in the area....
