FARLEY, Lilias, painter, sculptor (b 1907, Ottawa; d Aug 1989, YT). She moved to VANCOUVER with her family when she was 17 and attended the Vancouver School of Decorative and Applied Arts (later EMILY CARR INSTITUTE OF ART & DESIGN) from 1925 to 1930. Following graduation she painted and taught at the BC College of Art from 1933 to 1935, founded by Fred VARLEY and J.W.G. MACDONALD. She also worked in theatrical design.
