FARRELL CREEK is a farming (see AGRICULTURE) and trapping settlement 45 km west of FORT ST JOHN on Hwy 29 beside the PEACE R. It was named after Henry W. Farrell, a homesteader who took up land in 1913. The area is known locally as Red R. The creek itself joins the Peace 12 km farther west. Many FOSSILS have been found here.
