FOLEY, WELCH & STEWART was the largest railway construction company in N America before WWI. It was created in 1908 as a reorganization of a prior company, Foley Bros & Larson. Principal partners in the new concern were John W. STEWART and his brothers-in-law Tim Foley and Patrick Welch.
