Gosnell

GOSNELL, a tiny travellers' stop and CNR station 175 km northwest of REVELSTOKE at the confluence of the N THOMPSON and Albreda rivers, was originally Thompson Crossing. It was renamed after R.E. GOSNELL, a journalist and the first provincial librarian (1893–98) and first provincial archivist (1908–10). A Japanese internment camp (see JAPANESE, RELOCATION OF) was located here during WWII.
