Grantham

GRANTHAM was an early VANCOUVER ISLAND farming community (see AGRICULTURE) 10 km north of COURTENAY on Portuguese Crk. Tom Beech settled in the area in 1862. The post office was named in 1889 after a local DAIRY FARMING family.
