GRASSLANDS large and small occur throughout BC where conditions allow, but primarily in the dry valleys and adjacent plateaus of the southern Interior, including the KETTLE, OKANAGAN, SIMILKAMEEN, THOMPSON, NICOLA, FRASER and CHILCOTIN river valleys, with generally smaller grasslands in the KOOTENAY and COLUMBIA river valleys of southeast BC.
