Grauer, Albert Edward "Dal"


GRAUER, Albert Edward "Dal," hydro executive (b 21 Jan 1906, Sea Island; d 28 July 1961, Vancouver). His parents Jacob and Marie Grauer were pioneer settlers on SEA ISLAND. After graduating from UBC he won a Rhodes scholarship and took a BA in jurisprudence at Oxford. He completed his studies with a PhD in economics from the Univ of California. Grauer belonged to Canada's Olympic LACROSSE team in 1928. He was called to the bar in VANCOUVER in 1930 and articled, but then decided to teach...
