Headquarters

HEADQUARTERS was a small LOGGING community on the Tsolum R, north of COURTENAY on VANCOUVER ISLAND. It was established in 1911 by the Comox Logging & Rwy Co as the centre of its FOREST INDUSTRY operations. When the company centralized its activities in 1958, the town was auctioned off.
