KILIAN, Crawford, teacher, writer (b 7 Feb 1941, New York City). Raised in the US and Mexico, he moved to VANCOUVER in 1967. He is a prolific author of both fiction and non-fiction, producing fantasies, science fiction and adventure novels as well as a highly regarded history of BLACKS in BC, Go Do Some Great Thing (1978). He began teaching at Capilano College (see COMMUNITY COLLEGES) in N VANCOUVER in 1968 and has written extensively on educational issues, including the book School Wars (1985).
