KILKERRAN, 10 km north of DAWSON CREEK in the PEACE R district, originally known as Saskatoon Crk, was settled by the Piper family in 1912. The first PROVINCIAL POLICE officer in the district was based here in 1914, and a school opened the following year. Kilkerran was named after Rev John Kerr, who built a rural church at the site in 1919.
