KINSELLA, William Patrick, writer (b 25 May 1935, Edmonton). He was raised on a remote homestead near Darwell, AB, and did not take up writing until middle age. He graduated from the UNIV OF VICTORIA with a degree in creative writing in 1974 and, after doing graduate work at the Univ of Iowa, he taught at the Univ of Calgary from 1978 to 1983.
