KLANAK PRESS was founded in VANCOUVER in 1958 by William McCONNELL and Alice McConnell (1913–82). The aim of this award-winning private press was to publish poetry and prose in limited edition books with handsome design and typography. Klanak's authors included Marya Fiamengo, Ralph Gustafson, Anne Hébert, Robert HARLOW, Henry Kreisel and Jane RULE.
