Kokanee Creek

KOKANEE CREEK empties into the west arm of KOOTENAY LK 21 km east of NELSON. During Aug and Sept it is the site of a huge run of bright red spawning KOKANEE. Kokanee Creek Provincial PARK (2.6 sq km) is at the mouth of the creek. A large number of OSPREYS congregate here.
