KWONG, Larry, hockey player (b 17 June 1923, Vernon; d 15 Mar 2018). Known as the "China Clipper," he was the first CHINESE Canadian to play in the NHL. After playing midget HOCKEY in VERNON he joined the legendary TRAIL SMOKE EATERS for the 1941–42 season.
