Langley Prairie


LANGLEY PRAIRIE, a rich AGRICULTURAL district in the FRASER VALLEY, in the municipality of LANGLEY, was first cultivated by FORT LANGLEY employees in the 1830s. Produce from their 8.1 sq km farm was sold to Russian forts in Alaska in the 1840s. The HBC subdivided the land in 1877 and sold lots to newly arrived settlers.
