MACDONALD, Blanche (Brillon), entrepreneur, aboriginal activist (b 11 May 1931, Faust, AB; d 8 June 1985, Vancouver). She came to VANCOUVER as a teenager from Edmonton with her Cree mother. After her mother remarried they moved to Alaska, but Blanche returned to Vancouver to attend secretarial school. She began modelling and in 1952 was crowned Miss ENGLISH BAY in a beauty pageant.
