Madeira Park

MADEIRA PARK  () , pop 1,025, is the commercial centre of PENDER HARBOUR, 75 km northwest of VANCOUVER on the SUNSHINE COAST. It has a shopping mall, a marina and government wharf, several resorts and cultural and other community facilities. Madeira Islander Joe Gonzalves operated a hotel at IRVINES LANDING in the early 1900s.
