Marlatt, Daphne (Buckle)

MARLATT, Daphne (Buckle), writer (b 11 July 1942, Melbourne, Australia). She came to VANCOUVER as a child. As a student at UBC in the 1960s she was involved with the TISH group of post-modernist poets. After graduate studies at the Univ of Indiana, she returned to live in BC and during the 1970s published several books of poetry. At the same time she conducted 2 oral history projects with the provincial archives, and produced books about STEVESTON and the Strathcona neighbourhood of Vancouver....
