TISH was a VANCOUVER literary periodical launched in Sept 1961 by a group of young UBC writers influenced by the American Black Mountain poets. The first editorial collective consisted of Frank Davey, George BOWERING, Fred WAH, David Dawson and Jamie Reid. Warren TALLMAN, an English literature professor at UBC, provided encouragement.
