MEAGER CREEK lies in the COAST MTS northwest along the LILLOOET R from PEMBERTON. Nearby Mt Meager was the site of a volcanic eruption in about 450 BC. HOT SPRINGS on the creek make it a popular destination for backroaders, and since the creation of a FOREST SERVICE recreation site in 1979, concerns have grown about the impact of LOGGING and recreational overuse.
