MERAW, Annabelle "Ann" (Mundigel), swimmer (b 23 Feb 1917, Powell River, d 7 Mar 2017, Maple Ridge). She began distance SWIMMING at Britannia Beach at age 10, when she swam across HOWE SOUND and back. She won the high school division of the PNE's BURRARD INLET swim at 13 and was signed up next day by the Vancouver Amateur Swim Club.
