MORTON, John, pioneer settler (b 16 Apr 1834, Lindley, England; d 18 Apr 1912, Vancouver). He was one of the THREE GREENHORNS—himself, his cousin Sam BRIGHOUSE and their friend William Hailstone—who originally settled what is now VANCOUVER's West End in 1862.
