MUSKWA RIVER rises in the Muskwa Ranges of the northern ROCKY MTS just east of the ROCKY MT TRENCH. Feeding off the vast Lloyd George Icefield in KWADACHA PROVINCIAL PARK, the Muskwa flows east and north to merge with the PROPHET R before joining the Fort Nelson R, a tributary of the LIARD R.
