O'BRIAN BAY, a floating LOGGING camp 40 km northeast of PORT HARDY on the north side of Kinnaird Island, was in operation from the mid-1920s to the 1940s with many JAPANESE workers. Myrtle and Bruce Collinson bought the camp in 1945, moved it to nearby SULLIVAN BAY on N Broughton Island and created a thriving float plane base.
