Sullivan Bay

SULLIVAN BAY is on the north side of N Broughton Island off the top of VANCOUVER ISLAND, about 450 km north of VANCOUVER. In 1945 Myrtle and Bruce Collinson arrived with an old float camp and established a seaplane harbour, fish camp, store and post office. Until the mid-1950s it was the busiest float plane base on the coast. The Collinsons sold out in 1957; in 1971 new ownership converted the facilities to a TOURIST resort.
