OLD CURLY was the name given to the first steam locomotive in BC. Built in San Francisco in 1869, it was brought north in 1881 to work on construction of the CPR through the FRASER R Canyon. Following completion of the railway, the locomotive was bought by BC MILLS TIMBER & TRADING CO and used at several railway LOGGING operations on the coast.
