OTTER was a tiny FRASER VALLEY AGRICULTURAL community in the municipality of LANGLEY. It formed around an intersection on the old Yale Road, had a school and post office, and later became a GREAT NORTHERN RWY station. It was named by an early settler who had served under Colonel William D. Otter during the Red River Rebellion.
