Pacific Western Airlines


PACIFIC WESTERN AIRLINES (PWA) was created in 1953 when CENTRAL BC AIRWAYS changed its name and embarked on a period of rapid growth, absorbing other regional airlines and winning the contract to provide services for the construction of the DEW Line in the western Arctic. The airline was based in VANCOUVER and soon had more than 600 employees and a fleet of 75 aircraft.
