PEARSON, Kathleen Margaret "Kit," writer (b 30 Apr 1947, Edmonton). She worked as a children's librarian for 10 years before becoming a full-time writer. Her first novel, The Daring Game (1986), is based on her experiences as a boarder at CROFTON HOUSE SCHOOL in VANCOUVER in the 1960s. The Sky is Falling (1989), the first of a trilogy of historical novels set during WWII, won several awards and launched her career as one of Canada's most successful writers for young people.
