Pederson, Barry

PEDERSON, Barry, hockey player (b 13 Mar 1961, Big River, SK). He grew up in NANAIMO and played his junior HOCKEY for the VICTORIA COUGARS. In his second WHL season (1979–80) he finished 3rd in league scoring and helped Victoria reach the WHL championship final. The next season he again was 3rd in scoring, led the team to a Memorial Cup berth and won recognition as the WHL's outstanding player.
