Perow

PEROW, 57 km southeast of SMITHERS on the BULKLEY R and the CNR, developed as a railway and SAWMILLING community, though many residents worked at the GRANISLE COPPER mines in the 1960s and later. It was named after D.A. Perow, general agent of the GRAND TRUNK PACIFIC RWY at VANCOUVER.
