RAINCOAST CHRONICLES is a journal of BC coast history and folklore started in 1972 by Howard WHITE for the stated aim of "placing BC character on the record." Parallelling such American back-to-the-land publications as Foxfire and Sand County Almanac, it told the stories of BC coast pioneers.
