WHITE, Howard, writer, book publisher (b 18 Apr 1945, Abbotsford). After studying literature at UBC he founded the periodical RAINCOAST CHRONICLES in 1972 to give voice to the history and culture of the BC coast. This venture expanded in 1974 into a full-fledged BOOK PUBLISHING business, HARBOUR PUBLISHING, which he has operated with his wife Mary White in MADEIRA PARK ever since.
