RAND, Paul (born Otto Schellenberger), artist (b 27 Nov 1896, Bonn, Germany; d 27 Jan 1970, Vancouver). He was in Canada on an extended trip when WWI broke out and as an "enemy alien" he was forbidden to return to Germany. During and after the war he worked on a ranch and as a builder in southern Alberta, then moved to VANCOUVER in 1926 to attend art school.
