Rayleigh Mount

RAYLEIGH MOUNT, a residential suburb 16 km north of KAMLOOPS on Hwy 97 (see ROADS AND HWYS) and the east side of the N THOMPSON R, was once an active farming district (see AGRICULTURE). John McIver was the pioneer rancher here in 1869. It was named after the English home of E.T. Webb, another early settler.
