Robson Valley


ROBSON VALLEY, part of the ROCKY MT TRENCH, lies between the ROCKY and CARIBOO mountains in east-central BC. It takes its name from Mt ROBSON on its eastern edge, the highest peak in the Rockies. VALEMOUNT and McBRIDE are the main communities. The valley, about 5 km wide and 240 km long, is the traditional territory of the SECWEPEMC (Shuswap) and DAKELH (Carrier) people.
