ROGERS, Frank, union activist (b circa 1878; d 15 Apr 1903, Vancouver). He was BC's first union martyr. A longshoreman and leading socialist in VANCOUVER in the early 1900s (see SOCIALIST PARTY OF BC), he led the BC FISHERMEN'S UNION in the FRASER R STRIKE in 1900–01.
