ROUNDS, 55 km southwest of NANAIMO near COWICHAN LK on VANCOUVER ISLAND, was a large RWY LOGGING camp, often called Gordon River, established by the McDonald Murphy Logging Co in 1923. Western Forest Industries, which had a major SAWMILL at nearby HONEYMOON BAY, took over and converted the operation to trucks in 1953. The mill closed in 1981.
