SCE'EXMX  () ("people of the creeks") are an Interior SALISH Nation living in the dry uplands of the NICOLA R watershed between SPENCES BRIDGE and MERRITT. Their 4 main communities are Shackan, Nooaitch, Lower Nicola and Coldwater. Closely related to the NLAKA'PAMUX (Thompson), their neighbours to the west, they engage in ranching (see CATTLE INDUSTRY), the FOREST INDUSTRY and FISHING for the SALMON that has always been central to their way...
