Serl, Don

SERL, Don, mountaineer (b 30 Aug 1947, Victoria). He grew up in KAMLOOPS and did not become interested in MOUNTAINEERING until he was in his mid-20s. He took to the sport with a passion and amassed an outstanding record of difficult climbs in the COAST MTS. His ascents include the south face of Mt Tiedemann (1976), the north face of Mt Hickson (1979), the traverse of all the peaks of the Waddington Range (1985), and the west face of Bute Mt (1986).
