Shalalth

SHALALTH, pop 256, is the site of the BRIDGE R hydro complex, completed in stages from 1931 to 1960, near the west end of SETON LK about 60 km from LILLOOET. Water is diverted from Terzaghi Dam at the foot of CARPENTER LK through Mission Mt to the powerhouses. The name means "the lake" in the ST'AT'IMC (Lillooet) language.
